The new TD-100A Ergonomic Soldering Iron replaces the previous TD-100 Soldering Iron, maintaining the comfort and feel of the original handpiece yet containing many enhancements. Slim and lightweight, the iron dramatically reduces grip stress and operator fatigue, enhancing productivity, and incorporates PACE's exclusive Cool-Touch technology as the handle stays cool and comfortable even during extended production use. The TD-100A's ultra-short tip-to-grip length (under 1.9"/48mm) allows for precision operator dexterity when used under a microscope or magnifier.  The TD-100A works with all current Black (part numbers beginning with 1124- and 1126-) and Gold Series (part numbers beginning with 1128-) Tip-Heater Cartridges. Available as an optional replacement handpiece for all other IntelliHeat-controlled Soldering/Rework Stations, including the ST 30, ST 50, ST 70, ST 100 and WJS 100 as well as being provided as standard on new MBT 301 and MBT 350 Rework Stations.

The Instant SetBack (ISB) Tool Stand automatically lowers the temperature when the TD-100A is placed in the stand. This will greatly increase tip life as well as save energy. Each Tip and Tool Stand allows for safe and secure holding of either handpiece, hot tips, Tip Tool, Water Sponge, Cleaning Brush and can be mounted to the side of of the PACE power source. The unit incorporates a Brass Wool Cleaner that won't drop tip temperature, cleans better than conventional sponges, won't damage your tips, and allows for removal of caked on/burned-on lead-free fluxes and oxides. A Sponge/Water Well is also included. Each Tip and Tool Stand is constructed with heavy duty, corrosion resistant metal.
